Reuters reported that shipments of refined tin from Indonesia fell 28% in November from the previous month to 7,945.68 tonnes.
A trade ministry official said that operations at smelters have resumed after a halt in August, when firms in the top tin producing region of Bangka Belitung announced operations had stopped at all but two of the 28 licensed smelters there.
Indonesian refined tin exports for November were up 261% on shipments in the same period last year, when smelters imposed a shipment ban in an effort to prop up global prices.
