Foreign media said that Vodafone and China Mobile Ltd. (SEHK: 0941 and NYSE: CHL) will not seek for mobile license in Burma, since the requirements of the local government are not suitable for them.
Ranking number one and two worldwide, China Mobile and Vodafone in April expressed their intention to jointly bid for a mobile license in Burma, when the local government hoped that local mobile carriers will increase from two to four.
Totally 12 companies are bidding for the license.
