Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko Meets with Zhong Shan, Special Envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping

Xinhua News Agency November 5- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met with China International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan, a special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, on Nov. 5, 2015, who will attend Belarusian President's inauguration ceremony.

Zhong conveyed President Xi Jinping’s congratulations and best wishes to Alexander Lukashenko for his winning of the re-election as the President of Belarus. He said that President Xi Jinping attached great importance to the development of China-Belarus relations. On the basis of high political mutual trust and strong mutual supports, China is willing to make joint efforts with Belarus, to strengthen comprehensive strategic cooperation and co-construct “One Belt and One Road”, in order to push China-Belarus relations and cooperation in all fields to a new level.

Alexander Lukashenko thanked President Xi Jinping for sending the Special Envoy to attend the inauguration ceremony, and asked Zhong Shan to convey his cordial greetings to President Xi Jinping. He said that Belarus is willing to strengthen Belarus-China comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation in all fields, and to benefit the two countries and their people.
